HOW IT STARTED
I fell into this gifting business in 2015 when one client asked me to help with some Christmas gifts, and I absolutely loved it! The thrill of pulling gifts together awakened my creative side, making others happy by way of a surprise with a just-because gift or showing appreciation to someone, I was enthralled. I began doing it only at Christmas and only by word of mouth/referrals.
Over the years, our customer's requests grew to year-round services, and I expanded to cater to these needs and launched our social media pages and website, A Gift For You Barbados.
HOW IT IS GOING
I have a team of people I work with to bring your gifts together, I do not do this on my own. First and most importantly we have a support team for deliveries. They will notify you of the collection of your order once the gift is delivered and any update that may be needed in between.
Our orders are usually booked at least a week and in most cases longer in advance, so that we have the time and space to create your unique gift for you.
We have a fantastic team of people who also work behind the scenes to make it happen, from baking cookies, cakes, macaroons and more! We also work with a number of businesses on island to provide a range of local products to compliment our unique products we hand-select internationally.
My husband is a qualified accountant and handles my books!
Lastly, this is a family business so many family members get involved as needed, most notably my elder daughter who assists with packing, and packaging right down to taking orders.
THE FUTURE
I’m happy to give my daughter the opportunity to learn a little bit about business and customer service from a young age, and I appreciate the support she and the rest of the team provide to make it possible.
My dream is for this business to grow so that she can be even more involved along with her many other passions in life. I also dream that it offers my younger daughter a similar experience, but most of all, this business continues to allow me the opportunity to meet new and interesting people like you, who have decided to visit my site! ☺

This website is about transparency, so this is a peek behind the curtain so you can rest assured that every gift is prepared with love. I am super passionate about great gifts and enjoy getting to meet each customer. We also have a dedicated support team that ensures it runs, as I am not doing this day-to-day.
Being bespoke most of all means we focus on quality over quantity, and though we do have some large orders, we focus on our relationships with our clients for all orders, big or small.
